A day in a car...

Yesterday we took off with all 3 dogs and headed out to make a big circle and see our family! First was the 1 1/2+ hour drive to our daughter's, where we got fed and got to watch Andrea decorate Hannukha (I never know how to spell that!) cookies and stayed longer than we should have. Then another hour West and a visit to my Mom, in the nursing home. The "Time Zone Warp" got me on that one. We showed up just AFTER her husband had taken her to church, so ended up waiting an hour for her to come back. :( Then another 1/2 hour on the road to our son's--where we were greeted by a dozen cats, 2 dogs and no humans. The humans DID show up before we left, and all to soon, it was 7PM and we were still 2 hours from home! 2 hours of snaking, hilly, 2-lane roads in the dark... The dogs were very good, except for Molly who decided to roll in something stinky at the farm... Aside from that, they got a lot of sleep!

It's looking like 3 clear days in a row, coming up! Followed by rain at the end of the week. So we're probably looking at at least a 3 day paycheck. That's 'do-able'. :) I've still got shopping to do, but it looks like it'll have to wait under the rain gets here, since there's still only one car! Maybe I'll call Sue and offer to buy her some gas to take me to town! Then I get to see her AND do what I need to do!

Thank you to everyone who has sent Christmas cards... The fact that I haven't sent any out, yet, doesn't mean I don't care!!! I'm not sure what it means, besides that I am a died-in-the-wool procrastinator...

Okay, is Monday...Laundry Day, right?
